Role of reconstructive surgery in patients with ambiguous external genitalia reared as females

Experience of reconstructive surgery in patients with ambiguous genitalia in 15 cases is presented. All these patients were brought up as females and presented to gynaecologist in post pubertal age

Familial predisposition to cancer and ontogenetic load among Egyptian population

The present study included two groups of patients: [1] patients ascertained to study the families tendency to develop cancer. They were 1211 probands with cancer and their families. They were taken up from the University Hospital at Mansoura and the National Cancer Institute at Cairo. [2] The second group comprised all the individuals examined in the Genetics Unit at Mansoura University with precancerous chromosome syndromes and mutant genes which transcribe neoplasia. The following have been carried out: [1] History and clinical examination of the patients and their relatives, [2] Laboratory investigations for diagnosis, [3] genetic investigations including chromosomal and metabolic studies, [4] Pedigree construction, [5] Segregation and consanguinity analysis [6] total anticipated population patient load.
